Introduction

Increasingly, enlightened organizations have turned to an Organizational Mentoring Program as an essential corporate growth and competitive strategy and tool in their professional performance and customer service delivery. There are visible concerns for strategies to strengthen well-structured organizational endeavors as well as the active and professional involvement of employees (as Mentors and Mentees) through an extensive, long-term Organizational Mentoring Program (OMP).

Objectives

At the end of the programme, participants will:

  • Understand the scope, nature, purpose and benefits of OMP.
  • Appreciate the different-but mutually supporting and organizational coherent-roles of Organizations, Mentors and Mentees.
  • Identify the specific strategies of initiating and improving an OMP at the levels of Organizations, Mentors and Mentees.
  • Plan, Implement and Consolidate an OMP in the organization.

  • Outline

During this workshop participants will learn more about:

  • Purposes of Organizational Mentoring Program (OMP).
  • Forms & Benefits of Mentoring to the Organisation, Mentee & Mentor.
  • Qualification and Skills of Mentors.
  • Key Success Factors & Key Performance Indicators of an OMP.
  • OMP Audit, Action Plan & Publicity Plan.

  • Methodology

This program comprises formal lectures on the cardinal principles, key concepts and the various strategies in understanding, executing, reviewing, and consolidating an OMP. These will be reinforced by mini-cases, best practice analysis, ground scenarios, and open discussion at teams and class levels. This will relate the active participants to the perception and reality of their operating environment, internal and external, in the cost-effective conduct of an OMP. The program will hence be a good start as much as a realistic check mid-stream in the realization of the strategic goals of an OMP.

    Who should attend

Directors, managers, supervisors and senior executives who aspire for greater organizational attainment and individual career development through an OMP, in varying capacity such as an OMP Leader, Coordinator, Mentor and a prospective Mentee. To those already involved in an OMP, the incumbent will still benefit from the comprehensive, systematic and action-oriented analysis of Mentoring essentials.
