HRSINGAPORE® Community Reports August 2007 Who is responsible for damages in an accident involving a company car? Many of the HR practitioners in the HRSINGAPORE® Community forum believe that staff traveling in a company rented or company car whether locally or overseas are usually covered by a comprehensive vehicle insurance that will pay out in cases of accident. They advise including insurance when renting a car. When accidents occur in Singapore, the procedures are clear. In cases where there is no injury, the drivers exchange particulars and make a report. Company should not recover any cost from the staff. Some of the other issues discussed in August
