Introduction

Many companies now use competencies to identify skills, knowledge and characteristics needed for jobs. And using competencies ensures that employees perform in tandem with the organisation's strategies.

Furthermore, Competency-based performance management will:

1. Align performance with the organisation mission, vision and values.

2. Provide objective performance criteria and standards for managers.

3. Help employees understand what is expected of them.


During this one day workshop, participants will

1. Understand the different categories of behavioural competencies.

2. Construct a competency-based performance appraisal form.

3. Conduct a performance review using the self-auditing approach.
